1. How to Store a Lash Adhesive

After opening the package, store it in dark storage and keep it dry at room temperature.

This storage box is made of premium material and is durable for long-term usage. This storage box will keep your lash glue fresher, improve the storage time, and reduce the curing conditions.

PRO TIPS

The adhesives used in lashes are very picky and can be affected by heat and oxygen. This article will provide some tips to ensure your bond is as fresh as possible and avoid any problems.

Tip #1 Store in an Airtight Container

It is recommended to store lash adhesive in an airtight container to keep it fresh and prevent it from drying out. This will ensure that the adhesive stays in a liquid form and is easy to apply, and will also help to prolong the shelf life of the product.

Tip #2 Store in the Refrigerator

Keep your adhesive refrigerated to keep it fresh.

Tip #3 Throw Away Your Lash Adhesive After 4 Weeks

These instructions will ensure that your adhesive stays as good as new for at least four weeks. To get the best results, replace any adhesive that is left after four weeks.

Tip #4 Stock Up on Lash Adhesives in Advance

They can be kept unopened for up to six months in the refrigerator.

2. Always Burp an Adhesive

Don’t forget to burp your adhesives! Burp the adhesive bottle by gently squeezing its sides. Then, wipe the nozzle with lint-free tape. To ensure that the nozzle does not stick to the cap, you need to wipe it clean.

3. Lash Retention Issues

Clean Lashes: Clients should have clean lashes. For proper bonding, natural oils and dirt must be removed. This is where a lash primer can be helpful.

Glue: Before you use glue, give it a good shake. If you leave glue out too long, the ingredients can separate. Mix everything for 30-60 seconds.

Humidity: The best lash adhesive is used when the humidity level ranges between 40-60 percent. A hydrometer is a good tool to maintain the humidity level in your lash area. This is an indispensable tool, and it is affordable.

Temperature: To ensure glue consistency, make sure your temperature is within the right range.

Dehumidifier: Needed if there is high humidity in your lash salon.

4. How to Hold Eyelash Tweezers

It is essential that you hold your tweezers correctly. You won’t be able to pick up the lashes correctly if you don’t. It will be difficult to separate the lashes or pull the tweezers apart.

Your lash tweezer should always be held with three fingers. The index and middle fingers should be on one hand. The thumb should be on the opposite side of the tweezer.

You can also place your fourth finger near the tip of your tweezer for additional support.

Your thumb, index, and hand should be relaxed when creating a fan. The middle finger is the only one doing the actual work.

The support fingers on the other hand are only there to help. The middle finger will press down on the tweezer to manipulate it.

You can improve your grip on the pencil by practicing daily. It will feel more natural and it will prevent you from suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome.

5. Shake Your Lash Adhesive

The adhesive won’t work properly if the ingredients don’t mix well. This can lead to poor retention of the client’s lashes. This is not good for anyone.

If your adhesive is properly mixed, it will be pitch-black (if you are using a black adhesive). It will appear grey, speckled, or clear if your adhesive has not been properly mixed. It is clear/grey because the adhesive’s carbon black color has settled at its bottom. The adhesive will still work even though it appears “off” because of this. The problem occurs when all of the clear stuff (Cyanoacrylate), is used up and only the carbon black color remains. It will appear that you are using normal adhesive but it is actually carbon black coloring. This will mean zero retention.

6. How to Isolate

You will first need to pick your preferred isolation tweezer.

You can now begin to isolate the eyelashes after you have prepared them by using eyepatches, priming, and cleansing. You may need to use small pieces of tape to pull the eyelids apart if your client has thick lashes (tape is used to lift the natural lashes off the bottom tape). Keep your tweezers closed. Once you have separated one natural lash, open them just enough to allow the tweezers to move.

Use your isolation tweezer to visually select the lashes you would like to isolate.

Begin by securing your tweezers close to the lash line. You can try again if you have successfully isolated more than one eyelash. Or you can use your placement tool to remove any remaining lashes.

Keep your lashes in a straight line with the tweezer, and place them in an open position.

Start close to your lash line and move upwards as you open the isolation tube. It may take several tries. Have patience with yourself.

Once you’ve achieved perfect isolation, you should be careful not to move your isolation hand while you pick up your extension to place.

You will see the benefits of accurate isolation by holding your isolation steady. Once the extensions have been dipped into glue, place your lash extension. To avoid lashes from becoming stuck together, it is important to keep your isolation open after placing.
